About Ola Torkelsson

Based in Malmoe, Sweden, photographer Ola Torkelsson works with editorial and commercial assignments as well as longer projects.

Ola Torkelsson specializes in portrait- and documentary photography.
He works for Swedish and International clients in Sweden and abroad.

Between 1994-2004 Ola worked as a staff photographer and picture editor at the Picture Agency Pressens Bild AB / Scanpix, Stockholm, Sweden.
He has also held staff positions at Sydsvenskan, Malmö, Sweden (1999, 2000 and 2004) and at Dagens Nyheter, Stockholm, Sweden (2001).

Ola Torkelsson has studied Law, Economic History, Arabic, Photography, Political Science and National Economics focusing on third world economy at the University of Lund and at Stockholm University. He has also studied arabic at American University in Beirut, Lebanon and journalism at Poppius School of Journalism in Stockholm.

Ola speaks Swedish, English and German.
